This project, to move the Redeemer Lutheran Church built in 1944, finally came to fruition after 12 years of planning and took just over two hours to move to its new spot across the road. The decision to move the building was due to the growing congregation and the need for extra space to accommodate all church attendees with more seating, a new entrance, and handicapped access. Preservation of the church was also at the forefront as the church’s interior included unique hand-carved woodwork.

Before the move, a new two-acre parcel of land had been purchased where the congregation had a church hall built. The church was positioned with this new hall with plans to connect the two buildings. The project was noteworthy enough that we were featured in the UK media’s Daily Mail.

Seven Properties From A Flood Plain Westerly, RI

With the goal of safeguarding homes from the threat of flooding in flood plains, Eastman Building Movers collaborated with FEMA to relocate seven homes near Misquamicut in Westerly. This initiative represents a proactive approach to disaster prevention and preventing damage from rising waters.
